TOP OF THE HILL - A transition program for partner primary schools

Hunters Hill High School is offering a high school experience program to students from our partner primary schools.

Targeted students - Year 6 students who will be attending Hunters Hill High School in 2014

                           - Year 5 and 4 students who want to experience life at Hunters Hill High School

Delivery:

• Two full days: Monday and Wednesday of Week 6  - 11th & 13th November
• Total number of students:  4 main groups of up to 25 students that are then divided into 4 subgroups of 5-6 students in each
• Transport: parents will need to deliver and pickup their own children
• Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (parents are invited to the ‘Presentation Afternoon' on Wednesday 13^thNovemberat 1.45 p.m.

Students will work in teams on projects/activities from different subject areas delivered by specialist teachers in the following areas:

1. Science
2. Hospitality
3. Design and Technology
4. Drama
5. Dance

Groups will be given 1.25 hours to complete each project and will then rotate.

At the end of each day groups will come together to present selected projects at the ‘Presentation Afternoon' where parents will be invited.

Invitations have been sent to local Primary Schools, who will contact prospective students/families with registration information.
