We are happy to announce the Extra Curricular Music Program for 2016. Full details are contained in the attached information sheet and key points are below. With changes in music teaching staff for start of 2016, we have needed to re-think band/ensemble directors, rehearsal days and fees for 2016 so please read attached information sheet carefully.
Key points to note:
- Concert Band Rehearsals are now THURSDAY before school commencing 11Feb 2016 - new external conductor - Jo Arnott
- Jazz/Advanced Ensemble is THURSDAY immediately after school commencing 11Feb 2016 - new external conductor - Stephan Schafer
- Percussion Ensemble (*New*) FRIDAY immediately after school commencing 11Feb 2016 - new external conductor - Dominic Kirk
- Strings Ensemble MONDAY before school commencing 08 Feb 2016 - new internal conductor - Claire Vowell (new music teacher at HHHS) . The Year 7/11 Camp will clash with first Strings Group rehearsal but the other groups' first rehearsals do not clash.
HHHS Open D ay on Saturday 27 February 2016 - please make a note in your calendars now
- The Concert Band will perform one number in the Phil Daniels Pavi l ion as a part of the opening ceremony
- T he other music groups will perform in the Music/Drama Theatrette during the open day
Please ensure any other musicians in the school are aware of this new revised program as we are keen to continue to grow numbers in all groups.
